Spring Wine Dinner at Le Sud

Celebrate the vibrant flavors of the spring season with an intimate wine dinner at Le Sud. On Tuesday, April 22 at 6:30 p.m., the charming Roscoe Village restaurant will welcome guests for a five course Mediterranean meal prepared by Executive Chef William Lara, paired with thoughtfully curated wine selections by sommelier Scott Domer. Chef Lara's dishes, outlined below, include foie gras; endive salad; poached monkfish; braised short rib; and chocolate raspberry dome. The fee to attend is $120 per person (plus tax and gratuity) and tickets may be purchased on Le Sud's Resy page.

First Course: Foie Gras

Brioche toast, berry reduction and red wine berry sauce

Wine: NV Michele Capdepon “Revelation” Brut Rose, Cremant de Limoux

Second Course: Endive Salad

Pickled red apple, candied walnuts, gorgonzola crumbles, watermelon radish, 
sumac, lemon-yogurt dressing

Wine: 2016 Weingut Carl Ehrhard Riesling Trocken Bischofsberg Kuhweg Urstruk, Rüdesheim 

Third Course: Poached Monkfish

Monkfish tail poached in beurre blanc, creamy fennel sauce, peas, mushrooms, confit tomato medley, tarragon oil

Wine: 2022 Domaine de Cray Montlouis Sur Loire Sec

Fourth Course: Braised Short Rib

Boneless short rib, roquefort-robuchon mashed potato, roasted beech mushroom stems, sauteed pearl onion, butter poached romanesco, port wine-short rib reduction

Wine: 2020 Aime Arnoux “Domaine La Maurelle” Rouge, Gigondas 

Fifth Course: Chocolate Raspberry Dome

Fresh raspberries, chocolate sauce, white chocolate pearls

Wine: 2014 Quinta da Romaneira, Late Bottled Vintage
