It’s National Farmers Market Week!
National Farmers Market Week is happening now from August 1-7. This annual celebration highlights the vital role that farmers markets play in our food system. Farmers markets are often the ONLY source some folks can rely on for good food. During the pandemic, farmers markets have helped to keep people fed and bring communities together. The Low Line Market and the Roscoe Village Market are proud to be just two of so many incredible markets across the nation serving our communities and supporting the food system.
As farmers markets around the US join together to celebrate the vendors, producers, managers and customers that make our community come alive during market days, we’re inviting you to join in on the celebration by visiting the markets this Thursday, between 3:30PM to 7:30PM at the Southport Brown Line Station or this Sunday from 9AM to 1PM at Jahn Elementary School. See you there!
