Operator Series: The ABC's of Food Code Regulations Around Food Donations - Webinar

According to estimates, 34 million men, women, and children are food insecure in the U.S. Yet, millions of pounds of unused food in American restaurants gets thrown out daily. Join us for a webinar on Thurs. May 11 @ 2 p.m. ET to learn more about how restaurants are addressing the problem. Speakers from Starbucks and Feeding America will discuss their partnership and how they effectively donate leftover food while complying with food code regulations. Also joining us will be Mark Bucher, founder of Feed the Fridge, an organization that works directly with local restaurants to provide fresh meals to individuals experiencing food insecurity in and around Washinton D.C. Laura Abshire, the director of Sustainability Policy for The National Restaurant Association, will join them as she shares her unique perspective on successfully navigating restaurants' challenges when donating food.
