There is a new option to help Illinois small business owners and employees to start saving for retirement that alleviates the financial and administrative burdens of traditional retirement savings plans. Illinois Secure Choice is a state-run IRA account, and per state law employers with five or more employees who have been in business for at least two years and don’t offer a tax-qualified retirement plan are required to register for and facilitate the program.
