Roscoe Village Clean & Green Day

Let the annual spring cleaning begin! Roscoe Village Neighbor’s annual Clean & Green Day is coming up and they need volunteers. Meet them outside of Commonwealth Tavern on Saturday, April 23 at 9AM to help clean up the neighborhood! All volunteers will be provided with tools, clean-up bags and gloves. Volunteers can choose their own areas of the neighborhood or they can assign one to you. This can also count as community service hours for students who need them.

City of Chicago announces permits for Sidewalk Signs to be available as of March 1, 2022

Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot and the Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP) recently announced sidewalk signs (e.g. A-frame, T-frame, or other temporary self-supporting type signs, placed on the public way) will be allowed in the City of Chicago by obtaining the proper City permit. Street-front businesses will now be able to use sidewalk signs to advertise their business safely and effectively from the sidewalk.
