Thu, 7/15 from 6-7pm: CircEsteem Around Chicago at Blaine Elementary
Enjoy two performances that include a 45-minute circus show performed by youth ages 10-19 with assistance by adult coaches followed by a 30-minute workshop for youth in attendance to try the circus skills themselves. Organized by CircEsteem.
Sat, 7/17 from 11am-3pm: Dog Days of Summer along the Lakeview Low-Line Southport Station
A pet-focused family friendly event that includes a doggie play party with small wading pools, ball pits and inflatable bounce house. A professional dog trainer teaching two mini classes along with a doggie photobooth, Paint Your Pet Art Classes and that popular MC, Miss Foozie. Organized by A Dog’s Best Friend.
Sat, 7/17 from 3-5pm: Step Sessions Concert Series along the Lakeview Low-Line at the Paulina Plaza
Organized by jazz guitarist, Lee Rothenberg, a professional musician who has performed at the Green Mill, Jazz Showcase, and The Chicago Jazz Festival. Lee and his friends are brining the great music from their Step Sessions developed in COVID-19 to the commercial corridors in Lakeview. These concerts will feature guest stars, including some of the most talented jazz musicians in the city. They are kid-friendly with a special pre-show performance for youngsters on select show dates.
Sun, 7/18 from 12-6pm: Carpe Librum Pop-Up Used Book Sale along the Lakeview Low-Line at the Southport Station
A pop-up used book market raising funds for the nonprofit, Turning the Page which works with North Lawndale elementary schools to help students receive valuable educational resources and a high-quality public education. Organized by Turning the Page.
