Ride Through Lakeview and Roscoe Village for Bike to Work Week!

Bike to Work Week is happening now through Sunday, May 23 with Bike to Work Day taking place this Friday! Will you be taking your two wheeler out for your morning commute? We definitely will. Why stop with the morning commute? Check out this itinerary for how to explore Lakeview and Roscoe Village by bike before and after work!

Start the day with a delicious bad bunny latte from Heritage Bicycles & Coffee Shop paired with their dark chocolate & orange muffin or an earl grey scone. A coffee and pastry is the best way to start your morning if you ask us.

After you finish up your breakfast, head to work by biking north or south on Lincoln Ave, a common commuter biking street, and be sure to say hi to your fellow commuters! If you work from home, a morning bike ride around the neighborhood is a great way to get outside before the workday.

When the workday is finished, explore Lakeview and Roscoe Village on your way home! Stop On the Route Bikes to shop for bike accessories. Pick up a little something that will help you on your daily commute like a new helmet, bell or bike light.

Ride a little further north up Lincoln Ave to check out the murals at the Paulina Plaza as part of the Lakeview Low-Line. Go ahead and park your bike on one of SSA 27’s green bike racks so you can wander around the art and shop nearby local businesses.

Next, head west on Roscoe St to shop local boutiques or take a workout class if all that biking has gotten your energy up!

To wrap up your day of exploration, visit Roscoe Village Bikes while you're in the area for more bike shopping fun or to get at tune up, and grab some dinner to go from a local restaurant.

Let us know how it goes! How far did you bike? What was your favorite part? Will you be biking to work more often after all the fun you had?
