Give us a small backstory of how your business started.
After a tragic event at another pet care provider that took the life of Dan's beloved St. Bernard, Sydney, he was inspired to start a dog daycare business. Right then and there, he made a promise that no pet parent would ever have to experience what he went through while their dog is in our care. When you sign up with PUPS, you are not signing up just to bring your dog to daycare, or have them trained, or groomed – you are joining our family. Therefore, you should always expect to be treated with kindness and respect. You should always expect for your dogs to receive the most compassionate and loving care. And you should always expect for us to do the right thing!
What are some of your favorite moments of running your business?
Every day is different. No moment is dull. Our club supports the health and happiness of the dogs we serve and their parents (our members). Our training, daycare, grooming, veterinary care and other services also support the strongest pup-parent bond ensuring members’ experiences are pleasant and stress-free. It’s satisfying to forge relationships with dogs and the pet enthusiasts who love them, whether they are frequent-fliers in daycare, students in training classes or grooming regulars.

Do you have any hobbies that you do outside of running your business?
Anything that involves being outside. I enjoy lakefront bike rides and of course spending time with my fur baby, Orbi, at the Montrose Dog Beach.
